Did anybody watch the wedding?  What was your impression of the spectacular event?  It is reported to have cost the UK tax payer £20 million pound for the event.  Was it worth it?  Did anybody celebrate?

It may have cost 20 million, but it was also a MASSIVE EVENT,  an event which will earn a significant amount of money from memorabilia, photographs, etc. Also, I looked on the website they have for the event, all the gifts recieved are going towards charitable organizations. So, I don't think its really fair to demonize them.

Read what i said, pretty clearly outlines how... Whore doesn't relate to someones sexual context either...

And yes, it's very fair to demonize them... The event cost 20M in their currency, and only about 5M of that went into the local economy.

And the website listing their gifts, are what they got from the public.. NOT other high level families.. They controlled VERY carefully what was put into public eyes.

Your also aware that a large percentage of the general public in London etc are even disgusted by how much it's costing THEM...

In all fairness it only equates to £0.33 per person in the UK and a lot of shops had gift boxes where the public could donate to charities.  I'm not the biggest fan of giving people like the royals for the sake of it, but whilst they may seem like socialites, they do give a lot back to the country in terms of the charity work they do in particular william and charles.  If it wasn't  for  Prince Charles a lot of poor people would not have been able to start up their own businesses.  I think this event not only united the nation but united the world, after all it was viewed by nearly 2 billion people world wide.

Were talking about a society who watches and actively supports trash like Survivor, Big Brother, And Jersey Shores....  That's not exactly a positive note for supporting your point.

And over those two halfwits come to Canada, and it costs us 5.5M+$ for a week... In addition that ".33 euro" per person or whatever, could of gone towards socials services, or supporting the arts or education.. Yah, clearly a priority...

And the Royals havent DONE anything useful since the death of Diana, and most of everything Charles did was to offset the negative publicity he had gotten from both Marrying Diana and than again cheating on her
