The streets outside your window overflooded
People staring they know you've been broken
Repeatedly reminded by the looks on their faces
Ignore them tonight and you'll be alright
We'll cast some light and you'll be alright

They actually aren't illegal, questionable yes but not illegal
Google collects all that data legally (read thier use agreement) to check stats on thier website and determine advertising

Again, not a loop hole. By using a site you agree to thier terms and conditions. Google states they collect annoymous stats in order to best operate thier site. And under normal situtations an IP address can only narrow you down to which city you live in at best. The ISP is the one that can look up an account via that IP.
We collect all the same stuff google does as far as where our members visit, logs of PM's etc. Any personally identifiable data we receive is used in house only. If required to do so I would also release the information to a notable and trust worthy agency for review. How ever they would also get only partial IP's and search results which again doesnt identify anyone.
In googles case, it was do what they say or shut down

Limit where you put personal photo's and never give out phone numbers, addresses unless you're competely certain the person you're speaking to is legit.

Yes people steal personal info, money, ect, but it doesn't mean you should suspect everyone you talk to of being a bad person.

Before you know it, everyone on your block will know when you blow your nose. Relatives across sees will be able to keep tabs on when you use the toilet and your employer will be able to surf the net to find what your kinkiest fantasy is... oh wait they can already do that one!
~ That's my opinion... if you don't like it...
