Some people hate survivor on the forum, but love it or hate it people get active
So I think what we need is to give it a purpose so it does not seem so superficial

Since Tristan and Anel are struggling with cancer I think we should have google ad sense or something and tell people that all money raised while the game is played will be donated to cancer research. Then all the spam and random mindless chat will at least help toward a good cause.

Having a prize might also help to get people active.

I have installed adsense before, and I am not putting it back on the site, previously when we did have it and our members were clicking the links with out actually being told Google turned around and banned that account after it generated 140$ for the site.

I've tested it a few more times, but the filtering on the ad's are terrible.. Even knowing I've specified a specific content type for ad's to be inserted Google did not respect this and was putting links into more adult content based sites + sites like lavalife

I appreciate that feedback Medea, I am currently looking at other avenue's to build disposable revenue for the site (For Charitable Donations etc) One side project that the site is funding right now is a Not for Profit Orginization that helps abused and misplaced dogs.. I will be rebuilding their website and providing them hosting for free for a year
