As soon as they had walked in the door and taken off their coats Matthew escorted them quickly past his naked servants and into a room upstairs.
"This is where you will stay while you are here, Don will slip you some food under the door every few days. I realize this trip has been hard on and everyone you know and love is either probably dead or has been enslaved by the evil Korean army... but try not to make noise it will only inconvenience me MORE! I assume this will only be temporary and I'll be rid of you all in a few days. Maybe Kim Jong-il will offer a reward to anyone who sells him Canadian slaves... I could use the money..." and with that slammed the door and locked the padlock to ensure none of the kids escaped.
Immediately Samantha began to cry, which sent the group into a frenzy to try and get her to be quiet. "You don't want him to sell us as slaves to the North Koreans do you?!" Kyle demanded. Seconds later the group heard a pounding on the door "I SAID BE QUIET AND NO CRYING!!!" screamed Matthew. Instantly the room was quiet, even Samantha.
For days the group sat bored with nothing to do other than wait for their next meal, which generally only came once every 3 days. Tired of being confined Femke decided to look for a way out. While the others were sleeping (having passed out from hunger pains), Femke decided to explore the big room to see if there was possibly a secret passage through which they could escape (it was after all a big and ancient house, and could quite possibly have a secret passage somewhere).
While exploring Femke happened upon a big wooden wardrobe, filled with ugly fur coats (no doubt made from Dalmatian puppies).
While looking through the coats Femke could have sworn she felt a cool breeze hit her face. Curious, she decided to explore the inside of the wardrobe. As she stepped inside the door slammed shut, but rather than being completely in the dark, Femke noticed a light coming from the back of the wardrobe.
As she neared the back of the wardrobe Femke could feel the breeze grow stronger, until finally she felt a tree branch?
Confused Femke pressed on until it appeared she had found her way into a forest (at the back of the wardrobe)!
Amazed Femke began to explore her new surroundings, though it wasn't long before she heard rustling in the trees. "Who's there?" Femke demanded. When she heard no reply she decided to investigate the nose more closely.
To her surprise she happened upon a timid looking goat man (Satyr if you will) who was very much afraid of this human intruder.
"I... I.... I... " stuttered the Satyr, though before he could finish what he was saying he was met with an angry response from Femke who kicked him squarely between the legs! "You're a stranger" said Femke angrily, "I don't talk to strangers!!!"
Bewildered, confused and very sore after being kicked in such a delicate area, the Satyr gasped for breath and tried to crawl away. However, as scary as this new comer was, he did not want to fail his mission. The Satyr mustered all his courage and turned back to the angry girl "I...I.... I'm Mathieu now you know my name I'm not a stranger" he said and then cowered.
To Mathieu's shock, Femke did not move to strike him, and instead curtsied before him and responded with a polite and gentle tone, "It's such a pleasure to meet you Mathieu, I am Femke"
Relieved that he had been spared another beating Mathieu continued on with his greeting, "You have come to the Enchanted forest in the Land of the Secret Society...." before he could continue with his message however Femke interrupted him, "Do you have any food? I haven't eaten in days" she whined. "Of course! Anything you wish for shall be yours!"
With that Mathieu led Femke to a vast banquet hall where she was greeted by many strange, yet friendly people who offered her over filled plates of food. "I've never eaten so much in my life!" exclaimed Femke, "I'll have to tell the others about this place! They'll love it!!!". Overhearing her words, Mathieu quickly asked, "Others? There's more of you?" grinning, Femke replied "Oh yes there's Sal he's the tough one, Michael he's really sweet, Mike he does everything I tell him to do
, Kyle she's pretty tough too, Samantha who's the sensitive one and Andrea who's really smart". Not believing his luck Mathieu pressed Femke further, "Do you think you could bring your friends here? To the Secret Society?" he asked. "Of course!" Femke replied, and before Mathieu could say anything further Femke had run off back through the wardrobe to fetch the others. Not even two minutes had passed before Femke walked triumphantly through the door with Sal, Michael, Mike, Kyle, Samantha and Andrea in tow.
As the group walked through the door one of the patrons of the banquet hall (who's name was Fred) exclaimed with joy, "There are 7 of them! Just like the prophesy foretold! These are the Children of Destiny the great book told us they would bring about a thousand years of peace! These are the ones who will vanquish the evil Empress Gyselle and her minions!" with that the crowd began to rejoice.
Off in the corner of the room Mathieu took out his cell phone and began to dial his master, "Your majesty, the Children of Destiny are here just like you predicted!"
"Excellent" said the voice, "Bring them to me at once" the woman demanded.
"Yes Empress Gyselle" Mathieu answered, "Your wish is my command".
Meanwhile the group was getting quite wrapped up in the festivities. Sal, Michael, and Mike had been kissed so many times by random girls their heads were spinning.
Just when they thought they could take no more they heard a gun being shot in the middle of the room. Everyone scurried to safety not knowing what happened. When the smoke cleared another group of seven boys and girls were standing in the middle of the room looking quite angry.
"Excuse me" said the little blond girl, "But WE are the Children of Destiny! You were just celebrating our arrival last week!"
"Yes" replied Fred, "But you've had a whole week to defeat the Empress and you haven't even left the banquet hall yet! So these are the new improved Children of Destiny!"
Quite offended, Maike (the blond girl) turned to her companions, Guss, Anna, Christopher, Aras and Sirje and shouted, "Come on guys! We'll show them who the REAL Children of Destiny are!!! Christopher, round us up an army!"
With that, Christopher ripped off his shirt and broke into song,
"Humidity's risin', barometer's getting low! According to all sources, the street's the place to go. Cos tonight for the first time,
Just about half past ten... For the first time in history, it's gonna start raining men!
It's raining men, Hallejulah! It's raining men, Amen! It's raining men, Hallejulah! It's raining men, Amen"
Christopher sang as he danced in the middle of the room.
Puzzled Samantha turned to Andrea and asked, "What the heck is he doing?", just as confused Andrea shook her head and replied "I don't know..."
Continuing with his song Christopher sang "G-d bless Mother Nature! She's a single woman too! She took over heaven
and she did what she had to do! She taught every Angel to rearrange the sky, so that each and every woman (and man) could find the perfect guy! It's raining men!"
Just then Filip, Ids, Dirk, Jan, Sky, Soleiman, Gabe, Tristan, Natan and Juhan ran over to where Christopher was dancing and singing, ripped off their shirts and began dancing with him as well.
"Great job Christopher" Sirje squealed with joy, "We have a great army now and we can easily defeat Empress Gyselle and her evil army!"
Wanting to get the new Children of Destiny away from the crowd and into Empress Gyselle's evil clutches, Mathieu asked the group to follow him outside. Reluctantly Kyle pried herself away from the sight of Tristan and Christopher grinding on the dance floor and followed the others.
Outside Mathieu explained, "The only way you will beat these Children of Destiny and become the true heroes of the Secret Society is to go north and enlist the aid of the Three Princes, Prince Robbie, Prince Sven and Prince Robert the true rulers of the Secret Society. They've gathered a small force in a camp North of here to try to win back his crown. With their help, you could defeat the evil Empress Gyselle and replace those imposter's in there as the TRUE Children of Destiny!"
Excited the group began to chatter excitedly about the prospect. "How will we find the Princes?" asked Michael
Smiling Mathieu answered, "Well of course I will show you" and began to walk north toward Empress Gyselle's ice palace.
Clueless the group followed Mathieu not knowing he was leading them into a trap.
Meanwhile at Empress Gyselle's ice palace, Alex (Empress Gyselle's messenger girl) rushed into the throne room with disturbing news. "Your Majesty!" Alex panted (out of breath from running up the 10500 steps to get to the throne room), "I have terrible news" she exclaimed
"Well? What is it?" demanded Empress Gyselle.
"Your majesty... TERRORISTS from Luxembourg have invaded Secret Society Land!!! They're killing everyone in their path, those who are loyal to you and those who are loyal to the Three Princes alike! No one is safe!!" exclaimed Alex.
Unimpressed Empress Gyselle turned to Simone (Empress Gyselle's trusted adviser), "What should we do?" the Empress asked.
Taking a deep breath Simone replied, "I'm afraid your majesty that we may have to form a temporary alliance with the forces of Prince Robbie to defeat the Luxembourgian terrorists."
Unhappy Empress Gyselle was about to dismiss Simone, but Simone said something that pleased her
"We can make a temporary alliance with the Three Princes and the Children of Destiny (both groups) to defeat the terrorists. Then once the terrorists are vanquished we'll hold a celebration inviting the forces of all the armies... at the celebration we will assassinate Prince Robbie, Prince Sven, Prince Robert and the meddlesome Children of Destiny! They won't expect us to attack them after we've worked so hard to help them! It's a perfectly evil plan!" said Simone
"Agreed" said Empress Gyselle, "Alex!!!" she screamed
immediately Alex came running back into the room "Go find Mathieu and tell him plans have changed! Tell him to take the Children of Destiny to the camp of the the Three Princes. We're making an alliance with them..."
Confused Alex bowed her head and said "Yes you majesty!" before running out of the room.
Her masters orders puzzled her, but she knew she had to carry out her orders.
What will happen next??
- Empress Gyselle, the the Three Princes and the Children of Destiny (both groups) agree to an alliance?
- Will Empress Gyselle succeed in her plans to kill everyone and rule Secret Society Land forever?
- Will Femke and the others discover that Mathieu is secretly working for their enemy?
- Who will emerge as the TRUE Children of Destiny? Sal, Michael, Mike, Femke, Kyle, Samantha and Andrea or Maike, Guss, Anna, Christopher, Aras and Sirje?
- Will Filip, Ids, Dirk, Jan, Sky, Soleiman, Gabe, Tristan, Natan and Juhan ever stop dancing and put on clothes?
- Why are the terrorists from Luxembourg seeking to destroy Secret Society Land?? Will they accomplish their goal?
