I think junk food should be banned and that schools should inforce more physical activity like gym for the kids to be involved in.
In our society, obesity has been on the rise over the last few years and junk food contributes to that. But also I don't really see the point in taking out a vending machine at a school when kids have access and can buy junk food from a local store near by.
I think schools should also have heathier food on thier menus in the cafeteria, which some of them do. But many schools have like fast food lunches as well as junk food. Fast food is also another major contributer to obesity.

i think its okay to have some junk food...i wouldnt ban it completely...but i do think there should be more healthier options
when my son was at primary school i refused to let him have scholl dinners because it was all junk like turkey dinosaurs, chips, etc....he had a packed lunch so i was aware of what he was eating...plus...he does eat pretty healthily anyways....and i know he wouldnt have been eating much at lunchtimes

Well I have to admit we have a lot of healthy stuff at school too. But junk food smells better so I always fail to buy some fruit or something..
