[Mathieu]

I don't know about everyone else, but I find great enjoyment in Star Gazing.  And no it's not just a cheap way to "impress" the ladies.  I genuinely enjoy just sitting outside and looking upward.  Especially meteor showers, if any of you have never experienced one..... well..... you're missing out.  Just wondering if anyone else shares my interest.  If not, I'll still be out there.

I'm in Mathieu; It's just incredibly beautiful.
though it's a bit hard in crowded big cities since the lights of the ground forbids the sky lights from showing off.
we have to go away from the city lights to maintain a small view. but on Qasyoon Mount in Damascus it's possible

I've experienced one of the formetioned showers; i think it was 4 months ago.
it was just Beautiful.

I'm definitely a huge fan of the Northern Lights.  They don't seem to happen as often as I remeber them to though.  It's been a while.

Hey there Secret Society do-gooders.

Just to let you know, the yearly Leonid Meteor Shower is once again upon us.  If you live in North America (have no idea if it's the same for other places) Late Saturday Night and Early Sunday morning, the meteor shower will be peaking.  It's not as spectacular as the Summer's Perseids meteor shower, but if it's clear it should still be a good time.  

It'll be mainly in the Eastern sky, 30-40 meteors/hour in a dark place.

I have taken a bit of astronomy in University, and yeah.... it's a good time.

I love watching the stars late at night. It is such a wonderful sight. That is one of my favorite activities to do when camping, to stay up late and watch the stars. I did it this summer every night when I was camping. I miss it. You can't really see the stars that much in the city but I still look up to see if I can see any.

i love watching the sky/stars at night in summer,laying on my back on the ground preferably,the atmosphere is clean and with the heat,u can just spend hours nightdreaming and counting how many shooting stars (or planes) u see

Ahhh, so this is the post that started all the nonsense....  

I was beginning to think it had something to do with the love letters Sky keeps sending me.... Begging me to come back to him.  Sorry bud.  No dice.




I know there's a solar eclipse happening this year.... I just can't remember where.... I've never seen one.
